What is a Class 7 MOT?
A Class 7 MOT is specifically designed for light commercial vehicles that weigh between 3,000kg and 3,500kg. This includes:
- Larger vans (e.g., Transit vans, Mercedes Sprinters)
- Commercial vehicles used by tradespeople, couriers, and businesses
Due to the larger ramp size required, we can only perform class 7 MOTs at our Hawkins Road site.
How much does an MOT cost?
At Shaikly Motor Company, we follow the DVSA (Driver Vehicle Standards Agency) ’s recommended price.
Class 4 MOT: £54.85
Class 7 MOT: £58.60
Class 5 MOT: £59.55
All MOTs are fixed price.
Be cautious! Other garages may offer discounted prices however, a cheap MOT is not always the cheapest option. It has previously been found that some garages will offer a cheap/discounted MOT to attract more customers through the door. Some garages may be motivated to find faults where there are none!
